Every other watch on earth turns right. Ours turns left — following the direction of the Tawaf, the circling of the pilgrims around the Holy Kaaba. It is the direction the planets travel, the direction the winds turn, the direction the electrons run. Time, read the way Makkah reads it.

Read clockwise

Every other watch on earth counts up to the right. Follow the Tawaf dial to the right and it counts down — because its hands are travelling the other way.
